HOW DOES LASER HAIR REMOVAL WORK?
Laser hair removal involves the application of a concentrated laser light directly into the hair follicles to ultimately inhibit hair growth. Since hair grows in cycles (approximately every 6 weeks), it is recommended you get a series of treatments spaced equally apart to effectively remove the hair permanently.
WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?
Laser hair removal can be used safely and effectively for different areas of the body including the face, neck, back, arms, legs, underarms, and bikini area.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM A LASER HAIR REMOVAL PROCEDURE?
Areas you wish to treat will need to be shaved the day of the procedure (no waxing or threading). We will adjust the laser so the settings are customized to each patient’s specific needs including skin color, hair thickness, and location of the hair to be removed. Treatment times vary depending on the size of the area being treated. Smaller areas such as the upper lip and chin take less than 5 minutes to treat while larger areas such as the legs and back can take up to 10-15 minutes to treat.
